Q..What are the differences between an OFF GRID INVERTER & HYBRID INVERTERS?
A..An off-grid inverter draws power from a charged battery, converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC), and supplies it to a household.
It is designed for complete energy independence and autonomy, especially in remote locations.
Unlike hybrid inverters, an off-grid inverter cannot feed power back into the utility grid.
It can be connected to an external AC backup source (such as a generator or the utility grid) but does not interact with the grid directly.
Whereas, a HYBRID INVERTER connects to both the utility grid and a solar system battery pack.
Some, but not all hybrid inverters can also feed power back into the utility grid when there’s a surplus. They can usually also be connected to an external AC backup source (like a generator or grid)
